Beyond Pay and Pensions:
Turning Financial Stress into Workplace Resilience
A behavioural science approach to financial confidence, psychological safety, and stronger performance
About this session
Financial stress is one of the most pervasive yet least discussed drivers of employee anxiety, distraction, and disengagement. While organisations invest heavily in wellbeing initiatives, financial wellbeing is still often reduced to pay, pensions, or benefits, leaving the emotional and psychological dimensions unaddressed.
In this interactive workshop, Minna Schmidt and Dr Sophie Jablonski, co-founders of Flourish Financially, introduce a new paradigm of financial health and wellbeing at work, grounded in financial planning, behavioural science and positive psychology.
Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how financial wellbeing extends far beyond numbers, touching emotions, confidence, and psychological safety, and how organisations can respond with supportive, ethical, and effective strategies.
Through real-world data, interactive reflection, and practical frameworks, this session moves beyond theory to offer leaders concrete ways to foster employee confidence, agency, and psychological safety around money.
This workshop offers a rare opportunity to exchange experience directly with peer organisations while gaining tools and perspectives that can be adapted across industries and workforce contexts.
This is not a financial literacy session. It is a strategic, human-centred approach to one of the most overlooked dimensions of workplace wellbeing.
This workshop is designed for:
- HR Directors and HR Business Partners
- Chief People Officers and People & Culture leaders
- Wellbeing and Rewards & Benefits leads
- Senior leaders responsible for employee engagement, retention, and performance
It is particularly relevant for leaders who:
- Recognise rising financial stress and distraction in their workforce
- Want to address wellbeing in a more systemic and evidence-based way
- Are looking for innovative, human-centred approaches beyond traditional benefits
How can Flourish Financially help organisations?
Flourish Financially helps organisations address the hidden financial wellbeing gap by combining financial planning & education with positive psychology. Through safe conversations, self-awareness, holistic learning, and practical action, we support employees to reduce financial stress, build confidence, and develop long-term financial resilience, without judgement or product sales.
Flourish Financially can support organisations in addressing the current financial health and wellbeing gap where:
Financial wellbeing is treated as numbers, products, or benefits, while the psychological, emotional, behavioural, and identity dimensions of money are largely ignored.
Employees lack:
- Safe spaces to talk about money
- Self-awareness around money-related stress and behaviours
- Practical, non-judgemental guidance to take action
- Future-oriented financial confidence and agency
Flourish Financially’s solutions sit precisely at this intersection:
financial literacy + emotional intelligence + behavioural science + coaching.
